Chili cook off heats up Stampede

The Strathmore Stampede featured a hot-ticket event this year, a chili cook off organized by the Strathmore Overnight Shelter to celebrate and raise awareness for the facilities debut in the fall.

Celebrating Canada 150 at Stampede Parade

The annual Strathmore Stampede parade is set to kick off on Saturday, Aug. 5 brining with it the rodeo spirit of the Canadian West, and candy for the kids.

Jason Glass secured his lead on Aug. 4, when he rode a clean race with a total of 1:15.28 at the Strathmore Stampede Chuckwagon event. Chucks ready to roll for another year

The rolling thunder of the chuckwagon races will be coming to the Strathmore Stampede over the course of the August long weekend.

Strathmore's 11th annual Running With The Bulls took place at the Strathmore Stampede on Saturday and Sunday. Winners were Robert Scott of Calgary winning day one with a broken ankle and Eric Hanson winning day two with a giraffe costume.

2017 sees return of Running with the Bulls
