Strathmore?s own Brandon Karp and his six-year-old chocolate lab, Java, walked away victorious as they were crowned the winners of the DockDogs competition held on Aug. 4. Java jumped an amazing 18 feet after only being introduced to the sporting event just last weekend. ?This experience has been quite amazing given Java?s age and everything so it?s definitely feels good,? said Karp. Karp and Java walked away with gold medals and a prize pay out of $100.
