Town council made a decision to set guidelines to increase the town's involvement with their United Way partnership Committee. The group has existed for several years but town council approved a term of reference for the partnership that has the town agreeing to a committee at least eight people serving on the United Way/Strathmore Partnership committee.
"It's a good cause because any money raised in Strathmore stays in Strathmore' said Megan Dutka, the interim Chair of the Partnership committee. "We can always use more volunteers too and they can find out more info from the town office."
These terms of reference will come into effect as of January 1, 2013 and the committee has meetings coming up to determine what will be happening.
Strathmore still growing, slowly
